Christmas 2011

We had the best Christmas in Florida! The beach is just as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer!





Brody had so much fun with Gigi and Yo and Nana and Grandpa! I don't think he ever played a moment by himself! We went on many adventures to the golf course, nature trail, and parks.







On Christmas Eve we put out food for the reindeer and cookies for Santa. Brody was very into it this year!





Brody was so excited to see if Santa came on Christmas morning. We opened presents and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast.









After all the fun activities, Brody was worn out and slept through dinner.


Another wonderful Christmas was had by all. Next year Brynlee Grace will be here to join in all the fun!

It's beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS!

We decorated for Christmas today! Brody was so much fun and so excited about every little thing I would pull out of the box. He enjoyed decorating the tree and LOVED playing with his little people manger set. This is always my most favorite time of year but it is even more so this year watching it through the eyes of my baby! (Although if he could read this he would correct me and say he is not a baby, he is a big boy now.) :)

We got our family gift this weekend- a really nice camera! I have really loved playing with it and trying to figure out how to take great pictures.. I really need Chad to come teach me all his tricks! I set it up on a timer for us to take some pictures outside and right before we started taking pictures Brody fell and bit his tongue really bad and that whole idea was shot! We came in and gave him a popsicle and I was determined to get some pictures! (We were all dressed nice and I wasn't going to lose the chance of getting some good pics!!) We ended up just taking some pictures on the couch but I think they turned out nice!!

This was the only picture I got outside before the big fall!

A day on the course

I went with Brandon and Brody to the golf course this afternoon so they could hit some balls at the range. It melted my heart watching them play together! Brody hit an entire bucket of balls (like 50 or more), he has a huge blister on his hand from so many swings (need to get him a golf glove), we were there for over an hour, and he threw a huge fit when it was time to go home! (because it got dark!) This boy definitely likes golf! Which we figured he would with all the men in the family being golfers! He asked tonight if we could go back tomorrow :)

Halloween Party!

Brody had a Halloween party at school today. I signed up to do the party so I got to bring snack and make a fun little treat for the kids. I made a Halloween chex mix for snack and cake pops for dessert.

All the kids dressed up and it was so cute to see them in costume! Brody insisted on wearing the dog (I tried to convince him to be the train conductor since it's in the 80's today!) and kept it on the whole time, even the 30 minutes on the playground! The teachers kept asking him if he was hot and wanted to take it off but he said "no, I love Scruffy!" (He named the dog Scruffy.)

I had such a fun time watching him at school. When they sat down for snack they all sang the prayer together and it was so sweet I teared up!


All around it was a wonderful time! I'm already thinking of ideas for the Thanksgiving party... I signed up for all the parties ;)
