Easter 2011

We had a wonderful Easter. Gigi really talked up the Easter bunny so Brody was super excited this year! He placed his empty basket out the night before and was so excited to see what the Easter bunny brought him.

(Can you tell he is in to "Cars" this year??)

... and candy! :)

We had a very relaxing morning and then headed out to church.

Praise Jesus for this glorious day!!

Baby to Big Boy

Obviously I know that Brody is no longer a baby and becoming quite the big boy, but it was made even more obvious in the transition from the crib to bed.
Here he is as a baby in his crib...

and this was the picture I took of him in his crib right before we took it down..

And now my big boy sleeping in a bed!

SLOW DOWN TIME!

Strawberry picking

I have many moments in my life where I think, "This is what life is all about." I don't know if it's my love of being a mom, my high on life attitude, my wonderful surroundings or a combination of it all but I'm constantly reciting that phrase. Today we got up and got moving, packed a lunch, got the sunscreen and headed out the door. We met some friends at a strawberry farm about 30 minutes away.

The kids had a blast picking the berries and trying each and every one.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch, played on the playground, and enjoyed the picture perfect weather.

I would definitely say picking strawberries straight from the plant, biting into the warm juicy berry, watching your child have the best time with his friends, me having the best time with my friends, all in 70 degree weather that is crisp in the shade and warming in the sun is a moment of "this is what life is all about!"

...and Brody agrees!

Lesson Learned

Brody is not quite old enough to be left unattended with yogurt!
